Montecito Staycation Staples and Recs

Davide’s birthday is in August, so accidentally started a tradition five years ago of going to Montecito to celebrate. From LA, you really only need one night. We leave in am to arrive for brunch at our favorite Hillstone, Honor Bar. We shovel cocktails and the Dip Duo and head to the beach. At night, we have our celebratory dinner at Lucky’s - always with at least one animal, and now a baby, in tow. The next day we are back to the beach, and leave after dinner. If you haven’t been to Bettina’s - you MUST GO TO BETTINA’S. It’s a 10. You can pop into Doen or one of the cutie little kid stories before for some shopping. Make sure you make a res it’s packed. I asked my queen of all things, Moon Juice founder and Montecito resident Amanda Bacon for her local recs, so here you are:
-San Ysidro Ranch is cute for drink. The ambiance is divine and nighttime barman is pro.
-Third Window has wild smash burgers and perfect shawarma.
-Merci near Bettina has amazing prepared food during the day. I always get the duck confit, chicory salad and cucumbers.
-Little Doms in Carpinteria for oysters.
-Bossies Kitchen for wild salmon, farmers market produce and literally best doughnut if my life.
-Santa Barbara sea food shop at the pier for live Uni and mine caught fish.
-Hit the farm stand in Summerland for stone fruit on your way out. It’s open 7 days a week. It’s my lazy farmers market. I get everything there!
