THE HOLIDAY DECOR EDIT
THE HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE
It's a tradition for me to shoot the LPA collections in my childhood home, and I find this especially exciting for our holiday launch because my home becomes the backdrop for the clothing. And if you follow me... you know I spend a lot of time sifting through vintage at the Rose Bowl. Especially home decor.
Something I'm stubborn about is collecting items in my home, piece by piece, that I know will be passed down for generations. Holiday decor is especially meaningful since it's a time for family gatherings already, and I want Carmela and Carlo to appreciate family traditions. If you're looking to collect pieces too... my advice is simple. Vintage whenever possible. Etsy is the shit.
I've curated really cool vintage one-of-a-kind finds inspired by things I have in my own that you'll see in the LPA shoot. Lots of doilies and coupe glasses that are dainty but won't break when someone's had too much wine, vintage ornaments that look like they came from an old movie. Silver serving trays that make even the most mediocre meal look fancy as fuck. Lace, oversized bows, tapered candles in holiday red. Garlands with dried citrus and bows for the kids rooms. These small touches add so much magic.
Being a designer also means that window shopping is a necessity. I need to stay up to date on trends and what people are loving and it's really fun to take that knowledge and translate it to gifts for everyone on my list. I'll break down more gift guides eventually by category but for now, these are my top picks. A mix of fashion and beauty, things for the hostess, things for the kids, and more. Practical stuffing stuffers and cute holiday attire below.
